With his new single “Frühstück bis Zehn” (“Breakfast Until Ten”), Ansa Sauermann opens the forthcoming album “Gehts noch” and delivers a disarming yet catchy protest song. At a time when public debates are often carried out with clenched teeth and foaming anger, he counters with humor, composure, and a solid dose of rock’n’roll. A stormy acoustic guitar, a wistful piano, and his unmistakably gripping voice come together in a hymn-like lament about the limits of individuality in everyday life: “Frühstück bis zehn, wer hat diesen Scheiß erfunden?” (“Breakfast until ten, who came up with this crap?”)
Born in Dresden and now based in Vienna, Sauermann once again proves himself a sharp observer of our times. But instead of sinking into moral gravity, he meets contradictions with irony and lightness. “Frühstück bis Zehn” is therefore far more than just a tongue-in-cheek commentary – it is a song that reflects the divisions and constraints of the present while remaining an infectious anthem for the right to follow one’s own path.
With this opening track, the direction of “Gehts noch” (release date: February 27, 2026) is already clear: an album full of soaring choruses, storming guitars, and liberating moments in which Ansa Sauermann’s rock’n’roll unfolds its full force.
