In October of last year, the Bremen-based indie-pop trio Havington released their debut album “troubled heart” on AdP Records. The three musicians – Luka, Malte, and Tom – have already made a name for themselves with sold-out shows during their album release tour, which spanned from Berlin to Hamburg and Munich, performances at renowned festivals such as Melt! and the SWR3 New Pop Festival, as well as placements on Spotify playlists like “New Music Friday Germany” and “Indie Brandneu”. Their songs perfectly capture the essence of cozy red wine evenings in a shared apartment, summer Sundays in the city park, a warm cup of tea on the sofa, or the energy of a bustling crowd on the dance floor, accompanying listeners through the highs and lows of daily life.
The new single “Hoping for More (Sofa Session)” captures this mood perfectly: one guitar, one ukulele, one sofa, and two voices. Sometimes, that’s all it takes for a great song. After the trio had finished recording all the tracks for their debut album “troubled heart”, this charming bonus track was created on the studio’s kitchen sofa.
Currently, preparations are in full swing for new music, and the trio will soon be back on the road for an extensive tour. Quite unexpectedly, their small acoustic cover sessions of Wir sind Helden’s “Nur ein Wort” and Zartmann’s “tau mich auf” have become little social media hits, accumulating over hundreds of thousands of clicks.
